The Market is HEATING UP!!!

Four sales and three homes going on the market in the past three weeks, The amount of traffic (Other Agents showing my listed homes) has increased as well. With Fort Stewart and Hunter AAF being so close , we have a built-in advantage over other areas in or around the coast. Gulfstream has hired over 1000 new employees in the past 8 months. Not all of them have made it here yet but I know that a Great School district will be high on there wish list. Brand New Middle School is set to Open in August!!!
ps. Great JOB to Mark Douglas , my Buyer's Agent who competed in the Warrior Dash last week, 3 miles in the mud and mountains sounds fun!!!!!!

What's Going on in Coastal Georgia!

Hey guys,

I hope you all had a GREAT Thanksgiving Holiday! I can't believe that it was 81 degrees in Savannah on Thanksgiving Day! That is the 3rd warmest Thanksgiving on Record! The malls and local shops were insane on Black Friday. I can't believe I even attempted to go shopping in that madness.

Over the weekend watched 2 episodes of the show House Hunters on HGTV. These episodes were about 2 couples that were purchasing homes in the Savannah Area. I got some inside scoop on how that show is put together and not everything is what it appears to be (go figure). For example the Executive Producer picks 2 homes for the buyers to see after they have already made their decision on what home they are going to purchase. They also help coach the buyers about what questions to ask and what statements to say about each home (just a little crazy).

Another Hollywood experience we have had in the Savannah area over the past week or so was the show Extreme Home Makeover. They choose a family from Savannah and some friends of mine that know the family said that they are well deserving of this great gift! It really was amazing to see the process of nothing to an amazing home in only 7 days! The crew and the TV personalities were amazing and Paula Dean served food to them all for their entire stay. Savannah was very Excited to have them all here!

With the anticipation of 5,000 soldiers coming home in December we have seen a definite decrease in the inventory levels. I SOLD 2 couples 2 great homes in our area this weekend. Meeting in Savannah.

What a great meeting in Savannah, I got to meet the CEO of Coldwell Banker, (entire country) Great , smart guy!!! He is always on CNN and the national shows talking about Real Estate and where the market is going. I am excited to see that Coldwell Banker has taken the lead in many of the areas of Tech.. VIDEOS are the newest and lastest trend in Real estate, I am already THERE!!!! Take a look at the Fort Stewart video I shot and posted on the Military Relocation tab on the site.

Hey Guys, (hey Ya'll) sorry I had to do that, I just had a great dinner last night from Paula Dean's Restaurant " the Lady and Sons"., Great southern food, Not healthy by no means, but very good. I remember Paula Dean selling Sandwiches downtown Savannah before she made it big. I tell people all the time, I didn't remember the Ya'll and the deep southern accent back then. Hey, who can blame her , she had made a wonderful living at being a Savannahian. I have included a link below to her restaurant , take a look and see what you think about the southern menu.

Another great place around here is in Statesboro, home of Georgia Southern University and about one hour west of Savannah. In Statesbore (called the "Boro") they have a terrific water park called splash in the "boro" . A great place to spend the day with the kids. Take a look at the link below.

This Saturday they are hosting the Tybee Island (savannah's beach) tour of homes. This event is getting bigger every year thanks to Mylie Cyrus and the movie " the last song" the was filmed on Tybee or the Sandra Bullock who owns a home there and is seen from time to time (with out jessie) going in the local shops and resturants.

Wow, it feels like Monday. I have been saying monday all day, I hope that everyone enjoyed their Holiday, I realized that as we get older ( I'm 40) that we enjoy the other holidays just as much as the "big" ones , I really enjoy Memorial day , 4th of July and Labor day,I work a lot so , taking time off for me is rare, but I will enjoy the day, Had a great day at the beach with the kids yesterday, Sunny and windy, about about 87, PERFECT!! Had a great day today, I went to meet with a great couple of Hunter AAF today, I am going to find them a great home!!!!

Mid Week Excitement!

I can't believe the school year is over and that my oldest child Taylor is a high school graduate. I have been nervous all week because she has been on a cruize in the Bahamas all week. She is such a good kid (I know that's what all parents say) but I trust her, love her, and look forward to the life she has ahead of her. I have four beautiful kids, a great profession that I love dearly and wonderful, great clients that I help everyday. Sorry to be so sappy.
